Objective: The Lead Architect performs all phases of architectural work including planning and design. You will be involved in each project from earliest stages through completion. You will work closely with leadership, surveyors, and city officials to start each project. You are ultimately responsible for ensuring each plan is a high quality, safe, functional and innovative design that meets IRC 2018 codes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Make plan modifications and adjustments that meet IRC codes and City codes.
  • Lead in the design of new plans as needed, ensuring each one meets IRC codes.
  • Consider the location of mechanical systems and how those systems affect building operations.
  • Create renderings for each plan.
  • Develop new Revit Families content.
  • Create presentations for developments and client meetings.
  • Create new and maintain master plans for all projects with lighting plan, trim details, and cabinet drawing.
  • Ensure each plan is safe and functional.
  • Work within construction management software to share plan documents.
  • Document specs and selections for each master plan and ensure all info coordinates.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly starts meeting.
  • Work with Permitting Coordinator to submit plans to City per the specific requirements of each city.

Qualifications / Skills

The Residential Construction Controller plays a crucial role in continued growth and long-term success of the Elevate companies.


  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee all financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Develop and maintain the systems of internal accounting controls and financial reporting.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Manage small accounting team
  • Manage project budgets, incoming invoices, monthly draws, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor project financial performance, identifying and addressing variances.
  • Collaborate with purchasing team and project managers to track project costs and expenditures.
  • Accounting and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for each construction project.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to the leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits, and assist CPA firm with tax returns.
  • Cost Estimation:
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for new residential construction projects.

  • Collaborate with the estimating team to refine cost projections.
  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor and manage cash flow for construction projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers to forecast cash needs and optimize liquidity.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with residential construction projects.
  • Implement strategies to manage and control project-related financial risks.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.

  • Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
